The Gillen Club supports many events through out Alice Springs and also supports its surrounding community. Not only does the club sponsor many sporting teams but also sponsors the community groups, offering not only financial support, but a club house and a meeting point to socialize and attract potential players/members.

Within the last 12 months the Gillen Club has gone from 4 foundation sporting Clubs, to boasting 12 Affilated clubs.

Not limited to affiliated sporting clubs, The Gillen Club prides itself on supporting a variety of community based organisations including Alice Springs Family Day Care, Country Women's Association and the Rotary Club of Alice Springs.

Also the Gillen Club offers a free Courtesy Bus for the use of Members and Guests, on Friday and Saturday Nights.

Gillen Club - is 'Your Club, Our Community' and the Board and Management are committed to ensuring we deliver

• Over the pass 12 months Gillen Club has been approached by many sporting and community groups seeking not only financial support, but a club house to utilise as a meeting point, place to socialise and attract potential player/members.
• Within the last 12 months Gillen Club has gone from 4 foundation clubs being Rugby League, Aussie Rules, Netball and Cricket, to boasting 12 affiliated sporting teams, including the foundation clubs, Darts, Rugby Union, Junior and Senior Soccer, Softball, Slow Pitch, Masters Swimming Club and the Alice Springs Table Tennis Association etc.
• Club membership has surpassed expectations, increasing from 220 in October 2003 to currently over 7000.
• Financial support is offered through our weekly raffles, donations or direct sponsorship.
• Not limited to affiliated sporting clubs, Gillen club prides itself on supporting a variety of community based organisation including Alice Springs Family Day Care, whom we provide sponsorship for their fortnightly newsletter, annual calendar, as well as monthly $50 gift vouchers to use at their discretion.
• Other community based support is that to Tem 31 - Alice Springs Variety Club and Alice Springs Rotary Club.
• We also provide complimentary use of our boardroom for many other community groups, including but not limited to, Central Australian Harley Owners Group, Country Women's Association and Hamilton Downs Youth Camp Committee.
• Last year the club sent $300 worth of Christmas presents to the kids ward at the hospital for the under privilege.
• Kids xmas party is well supported with 120 kids attending last year. Approximate costs were $2800 which ensured a great day had by all.
